Sometimes, all these can be just a fool around, which might put your life into risk.Likewise, can you put your system in unreliable hand? No way.Yesterday, I got a call from US, the lady, named SUSAN bursts on the phone. She was saying, “Somebody has hacked my facebook account, and I’m unable to log in.” When I came to know about the actual fact, how it happened, I was shocked. In fact, she had handed over her system to PC repair shop for maintenance, where technician might have got the access to her private folders to get the log-in credential.“I’m feeling unsecure now, as the account holds my private photo albums and other information”, she added, in fact she was quite scared. And, she was looking for quick but reliable technical support for Kaspersky.
I collected some details regarding operating system and the security software, and then asked for the remote access to view the security settings. What I saw baffled me, the Kaspersky software was penalized and the firewall was disabled.I told her about the situation, and then did some troubleshooting to fix the Kaspersky problem. I reinstalled the software, and configured it. Later on, I guided her to configure the ‘facebook security settings’ and fill the “My Account Has Been Compromised” form, updated the Windows, and set it on the “Automatic Update.”
I advised her to change the account password after getting the conformation mail from facebook. But the gone is gone and there is no remake for it.
Think twice, thrice and as much as you can but don’t get hasty while deciding the technical support for your system and particularly for Kaspersky or any other security product, because ‘security’ can’t be put on stake at any costs.
